Case Study in Reading Disorder:
The Corrective Aspect of Craniosacral Fascial Therapy

Ear infection is the number one reason parents bring their child to the doctor. It can result in hearing loss, speech impairment, and learning difficulties.
Before the age of six, 90% of all children in America will have had at least one ear infection. Medical doctors treat children with this condition with antibiotics and sometimes surgery, which do not eradicate the root cause of the problem. Over two million ear tubes will be inserted in American children this year, the most common surgical procedure for children. Many children have ear tubes, which only last 6 -12 months, inserted in their tympanic membranes.

Barry introduced me to craniosacral fascial work in my Pfrimmer deep muscle class back in the 1980s. I've had a very successful career in massage for nearly 20 years using mostly MFR, craniosacral, and Pfrimmer deep muscle therapy. But your seminar was over and above my expectations. It was user friendly. Much of it covered what I already knew, but I discovered some missing links that have made a world of difference in my work.

CFT makes up 40% of my practice. The increase is still growing through word of mouth. Also, it will lengthen my career, as it is physically easier to do.
The children are responding to CFT so well that their parents are amazed. The fact that there is an end to treatment has parents very willing to try therapy. The feedback from parents on their child's improvement is very rewarding.

1. I work often with clients experiencing prolonged symptoms from concussion. Months even years. After opening their brain cycle thru CFT, healing begins. All of the physical therapy they are doing greatly improves, symptoms begin to fade, children return to school, adults become themselves again.

When I brought my son to Dr. Gillespie, I really didn't know what to expect.
My sisters had already taken several of their children to him for many different conditions. They had tried several times to convince me to take my son.

These are two case studies showing the incredible impact that Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) administered at the world reknowned Family Hope Center has had on the lives of these children diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, as described by their Parents:

INTRODUCTION
ADHD is a range of pediatric behavioral disorders, including such symptoms as poor concentration, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Approximately 1,600,000 or 7% of American children from ages six to eleven have been diagnosed with ADHD. The prevalence of ADHD is three times more in boys than in girls.
Conventional treatment consists of the long-term administration of methylphenidate. An alternative method of care can include the evaluation and treatment of the child’s craniosacral fascial system, which is an integration of the craniosacral and fascial or connective tissue components.

“Our son started crawling at four months of age, and by six months he was walking and running. His grade point average was 99.9% in the first and second grades; he completed most of the third grade curriculum in the second grade. At the end of the second grade a student tripped him at school, and our son‟s head hit the concrete floor. About four hours later, he vomited and became unconscious. The emergency room doctor treated him for a concussion and prescribed decreased activity for six weeks.”

1. “My adopted daughter was born in Russia. Her biological family‟s story was wrought with poverty, alcoholism, and stress. At three months, her parents abandoned her at a local hospital. At five months an orphanage took her for more than two years. Her institutional life was characterized by neglect, malnutrition, lack of nurturing, and deprivation of everything that a human being needs for well-being.”

A Withdrawn and Legally Blind Child Sue experienced a normal birth. When her mother switched her from breast milk to formula, Sue had seizures. She was diagnosed with strabismus and had three eye surgeries as a toddler. Her sight continued to worsen, and doctors diagnosed her as legally blind. When she became more and more withdrawn, doctors labeled her as MR (mentally retarded), ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
Learn Craniosacral Fascial Therapy with this three day seminar, CFT for Infants & Toddlers. During this hands-on seminar students are offered a chance to perform and observe CFT on babies and toddlers. Each day students will work with a new pediatric client family. This is a tremendous opportunity to build experience and comfort using CFT with the pediatric population. PRE REQUISTE : CFT Foundations Training Adults and Children
